Who we are
FYI Neighbor is operated by Season of Life, LLC. "We" in this policy means Season of Life, LLC, doing business as FYI Neighbor. This policy covers fyineighbor.com, its forms, and The Weekly FYI. See also our Terms of use.
What we collect
- Email address, if you subscribe to The Weekly FYI, plus where on the site you subscribed.
- Form submissions: what you type into the Project Concierge, sponsor inquiry, or contact forms, such as your name, email, phone, town, and message.
- Basic analytics, if we turn them on: pages visited, device type, and the campaign a visit came from (for example, a QR code on our mailer). We don't track individual households from the mailer.
- Checklist progress stays in your own browser. We never see it.
What we do with it
- Send you the newsletter you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works.
- Reply to you.
- If you ask us about a job around the house, we may share your message with a local business so they can reach you. We'll tell you if that business is a paid partner.
- Understand which content people find useful.
What we don't do
- Sell, rent, or trade your email or contact information.
- Add you to the newsletter because you filled out a different form.
Who else touches the data
Service providers process data on our behalf, only to run the site and its services: our form handler, Formspree, which receives form submissions and forwards them to us by email; our website host, Vercel; and our email and analytics providers when we add them. If you ask us about a job and agree, we may share your message with a local business so they can reach you.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions and subscriber details as long as we need them to reply, send The Weekly FYI, or keep basic business records, and we delete them when you ask.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS and we limit who can see submissions. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information like financial account numbers.
Children
This site is for adult homeowners. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email, or contact us to see, correct, or delete your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
