Who we are
fyineighbor.com, The Weekly FYI, the seasonal mailers, and Project Concierge are run by FYI Neighbor ("we," "us"), a trade name of Season of Life, LLC. By using this site or submitting a form, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Our guides are information, not professional advice
Our guides, checklists, emails, and replies are general homeowner information. They are not professional, engineering, legal, insurance, or financial advice, and they don't replace a licensed professional who has seen your house. Home work carries real risks, including from ladders, roofs, electricity, gas, water, and tools. Follow manufacturers' instructions and local codes, get permits where required, and hire a licensed or registered professional for anything beyond your comfort or skill. You're responsible for what you choose to do.
We don't endorse or vet businesses
Businesses featured on the site, in The Weekly FYI, or on our mailers are usually paid advertisers, and we label sponsored placements. Featuring, mentioning, or introducing a business is not an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee, and we don't call any business vetted unless we've documented how. Before you hire anyone, check their New Jersey registration or license, insurance, references, and written estimate.
Deals are between you and the business
Any estimate, contract, payment, warranty, or dispute is solely between you and the business you hire. We aren't a party to it, a broker, a contractor, or an agent of either side. Offers and discounts are set by the business that makes them, on the business's terms, and the business is responsible for honoring them.
Project Concierge
Project Concierge is an informal, manual service. We read requests and may reply with questions to ask, things to compare, or local businesses to get quotes from. We don't guarantee a reply, a response time, any outcome, or the work of any business we suggest; we don't judge whether a price is fair or review contracts; and our replies are not professional advice. If we suggest a business, we'll say whether it's a paid partner and we'll ask before sharing your details.
What you send us
When you submit a form, you confirm the information is yours to share and accurate. You let us use it to reply to you and to run the services you asked for, as described in our Privacy policy. Please don't send sensitive personal information such as financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or health information.
